• A comfortable amount of traffic exchanges to surf is around 7
• You must be consistent. Normally in 1 hour you can rack up between 500-700 hits to your offer a day comfortably.
• Some traffic exchanges have longer surf timers than others. If the traffic exchange has a longer timer use this tab last. Then as you surf the others, by them time you get to it it should have finished allowing you to repeat the cycle.
• If you do have a problem try opening up the longer timers of traffic exchanges in a separate windows tab and minimise it. When the timer finishes the tab will pop-up (maximised), click on the required capture and it will automatically minimise again allowing you to continually surf.

Like them or dislike them traffic exchanges are one way to get free traffic to your offers. In this post we will delve into how to use traffic exchanges effevtively and how to maximise the traffic available whilst making the most of our time. Before we start it is imortant to know what a traffic exchange is.

What is a traffic exchange?

Traffic exchanges are based on the idea of sharing links to websites/affiliate offers. With them you enter your title, add a short description, then add your link that you want to promote. You then surf to view other people’s links. These views build up credits to use in order for other people to view your site(s).

Thease credits can be paused so that they build up views (hits) to your offers.

Types of traffic exchanges.

There are two main types of traffic exchanges which we will look at. The first is the manual traffic exchange and the second is the auto surf traffic exchange.

Manual Traffic Exchanges.

These type of exchanges are where you literally manually click on a link to view another members website. You are then rewarded with credits. Manual traffic exchanges work on what is called a ratio these can be 1:1, 2:1, 3:1 They can even be as high as 5:1. The tables below illustrate this.

Overall, surfing ratios in traffic exchanges are designed to promote active participation and engagement within the community, ensuring that users are not only receiving visits to their own website but also contributing to the traffic exchange by visiting other websites.

Timers.

Manual traffic exchanges often use timers displayed at the top of the URL bar. A timer is a countdown clock that determines how long a user must stay on a website before moving on to the next one. This is done to ensure that users actually engage with the content and do not simply click through without paying attention.

Unfortunately there are some people who can program and make bots to get around this. NEVER be tempted to buy a bot if you come across one. You are sure to be banned !

Setting up your profile and ads.

Thease types of traffic platforms allow you to set up your profile, add banner and text ads, to get more exposure. They often reward you, after a certain period of time, with bonus credits.

[TIP.]….Do not upgrade immediately if you see an upsell when logging in always test to see if the traffic exchange is a good fit for your business. The exception here would be that if you have been a member for a while and are happy.

Auto surf Exchanges.

I am not going to say a lot about these type of exchanges as personally I do not think they are of much value. Often there is a requirement to download a piece of software (which I do not recommend doing) to your computer and the software will view the ads, automatically building up credits.

This sound good, but, lets think about this for a minute. The members who are doing this are NOT actually viewing the site(s). It goes to reason to ask the question, are they viewing your site(s)? The answer probably is No.

Then why do people use these sites? A lot of people belive that if they have a website and if they get a huge amount of hits it will incrase their websites’ rankings. The best way to do this is organically and slowly over time.

Your website may get penalised by Google if you use auto surf for a number of reasons:

• Google has a very clever algorithm that recognises sudden hits.
• If you have any kind of Adsense Google will pick on the sudden surge of hits also.
• You may have a high bounce rate with so many hits to your website. If people do not stay on your site for long Google will put a red flag up.

It is for these reasons that I DO NOT RECOMMEND using auto surf. However the same could be said of Manual Exchanges.

This is a manual traffic exchange that is very popular and is a sister site of TrafficG. In this review we will take a look at how the system works, how to surf the manual traffic exchanges, together with the upgrade options, referral benefits, the pros and cons and the various features of the platform.

You can also bid for a site of a day slot. If you get the winning bid your site will be displayed at the top of the page also showing how many credits won the bid and the number of views and traffic received. You can earn credits by viewing the site of the day but can only receive them once.

Below this screen you will see all of your statistics. This is an easy reference to check what credits you have and easily assign them. There is also an offer below this if you wish to upgrade.

Before you start surfing you will want to add your sites(s). To do this, click on the add your site button and you will be presented with the screen shown below.

Select the category you wish your site site(s) to be shown in and write a short description of it. I do recommend using a few keywords here as people use these when searching the directory. Keywords are used in search engines to rank.

You can also GEO Target your website hits and the cost of these in credits are shown in the table above.

Next click on the add banners button and fill in the necessary information to add your banners on the banner exchange.

If you click on the My Email Ads button, here is where you can add any emails you wish to send. Any credits that you gain, from either surfing or reading emails, can be used to send an email.

When surfing for credits you can earn what is known as hot link credits. Every site that you visit whist surfing gets you 1 hotlink credit. You can have a maximum of 5 different hotlink messages on your account.
